Who is your favorite blogger to follow?
There are a lot of blogs on the internet, but only a handful I actually make a point to read instead of just skimming for thirty seconds before getting distracted by some shiny piece of internet nonsense. My two favorites belong to friends I’ve known online for years, even though we’ve never met face to face. Funny how that works. The internet was supposed to be anonymous chaos, yet somehow it still managed to build real friendships.
Dan has a way of writing that feels honest without trying too hard. His posts aren’t stuffed with clickbait headlines or endless SEO buzzwords that sound like they were written by a committee of malfunctioning robots. He writes because he has something worth saying, and that’s getting rarer every year. Reading his blog always feels like catching up with an old friend over coffee, except I drink enough caffeine already to qualify as a small power plant.
Then there’s Rob. His blog has the same kind of authenticity that keeps me coming back. Life isn’t always polished, and he doesn’t pretend it is. There’s something refreshing about reading someone who shares the rebuilding process instead of only posting the finished product. The internet could use a lot more of that and a lot less pretending everything is perfect all the time.
I’ve never met either of these guys in person, but after all these years that almost doesn’t matter. We’ve shared conversations, ideas, encouragement, and more than a few laughs through keyboards and screens. In a world obsessed with follower counts and algorithms, I’d rather have genuine people to read than a thousand influencers trying to sell me the secret to success. Dan and Rob remind me that blogging is still about people, and that’s why they’ll always be at the top of my reading list.
