Coffee: Keeping Me Out of Trouble Since Forever

What is the best purchase you have ever made?

Coffee. That’s it. That’s the answer. People spend thousands chasing happiness with new cars, fancy gadgets, and whatever overpriced junk an influencer convinced them they couldn’t live without. Me? Give me a hot cup of coffee and suddenly the world becomes just a little less irritating. It’s the closest thing to a factory reset for my attitude.

Coffee keeps me happy. More importantly, it keeps me from yelling at people. That should qualify it as a public service. Before caffeine, every slow driver, every person standing in the middle of the grocery aisle, and every idiot who hits “Reply All” is a potential problem. After coffee? They’re still annoying, but at least I’m not mentally writing their obituary.

People talk about meditation, yoga, and “finding inner peace.” My inner peace comes in a mug. It smells amazing, works in about fifteen minutes, and doesn’t require me to sit cross-legged pretending my problems don’t exist. Coffee is honest. It doesn’t promise enlightenment. It just says, “Here. You’re less likely to commit a felony now.”

So the best purchase I’ve ever made is coffee. Every bag. Every cup. Every refill. It keeps me productive, keeps me in a decent mood, and keeps everyone around me from experiencing my uncaffeinated personality. Honestly, they should all be pitching in to buy it. They’re benefiting from it too.
