My brother is back at it. Another public post about unpaid bills, overdue rent, and needing money. This isn’t new. I’ve seen this before. More than once. People are quick to jump in with advice about family, forgiveness, and reaching out. They don’t know the history. They haven’t lived through it. They see one Facebook post and think they understand the situation. I know the history. I know the behavior. I know what happened before. Refusing to participate doesn’t make me a jerk. It means I’ve learned something from experience. Family is not a lifetime obligation to clean up someone else’s decisions. I’m done pretending otherwise.
