Divorce Was My System Reboot

People treat divorce like it automatically means failure. Sometimes it’s actually the emergency exit.

My ex-wife cheated on me, and at the time it felt like my entire life crashed harder than a Windows 95 machine trying to load AOL and Doom at the same time. Everything fell apart fast.

But looking back now, that divorce was one of the best things that ever happened to me.

I spent years trying to become someone else’s version of who I should be. Smaller. Quieter. Easier to manage. Like I was constantly getting patched into a person I didn’t recognize anymore.

Then everything rebooted.

I met someone who actually loves me for who I am instead of trying to redesign me into some “acceptable” version of myself. And honestly? That changed everything.

Life is calmer now. Happier. Real.

Funny how losing the wrong person can finally make room for the right one.

“Some system failures aren’t disasters. Some are upgrades.”
