Nothing to Report

It’s been a slow, completely unremarkable weekend. Nothing happened. No big plans, no exciting adventures, no life-changing moments, and absolutely no bullshit worth pretending was exciting just because it happened on a Saturday. It’s been one of those weekends where the days just kind of blend together and you barely know what time it is. Honestly, I’m perfectly fine with that.

The week already brings enough bullshit. Work, people, responsibilities, errands, noise, and the endless stream of stupid little problems that somehow become everybody’s emergency. By the time the weekend gets here, I don’t necessarily want to go somewhere, spend money, deal with crowds, or pretend I need to be constantly entertained. Sometimes I just want to sit around and let my brain shut the hell off for a while.

There seems to be this weird expectation that every weekend has to be an event. People need plans, activities, pictures, restaurants, trips, and some ridiculous story to prove they actually did something. Apparently sitting around doing nothing is unacceptable now. Fuck that. I don’t need to turn every free day into a production just so somebody else thinks I’m having a good time.

This weekend has been boring as hell, and that’s exactly what makes it good. Nothing went wrong. Nothing needed fixed. Nothing demanded my attention. I got to slow down, relax, and not give a shit about accomplishing anything. That’s not wasted time. That’s recovery from dealing with the rest of the week.

So yeah, it’s been a slow, unremarkable weekend. No adventure. No drama. No bullshit. Just a couple of quiet days where the world could go screw itself for a while. Sometimes doing absolutely nothing is exactly what you need, and after dealing with people all week, I’ll take boring over exciting problems any damn day.
